Rebekka Ramble 5ks have raised over $103,000 thus far, with funds enabling a preliminary clinical trial and basic research at UVA, with funds now benefiting the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation.

 

The Ramble is a 5K walk/run/party and a fundraiser for the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation.


Rebekka developed an advanced, untreatable case of cholangiocarcinoma, a cancer of the bile ducts, at age 31, and she passed from the disease several months later.  The overwhelming majority of cases progress in exactly the same way; no effective treatment is known.

 

Small amounts of money make big differences for rare and understudied cancers, as it allows for research that otherwise would simply not occur.
